Art Historian and Paintings Conservator

As a third-generation paintings conservator-restorer from Nijmegen, I am continuing a family tradition that focuses on respect for materials, techniques, and history. I was trained in Amsterdam, where I obtained my MSc in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the University of Amsterdam. Internships at the CollectieCentrum Nederland (CC-NL) in Amersfoort and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam gave me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of collections and restoration cases.

I am also a member of Restauratoren Nederland, the International Council of Museums (ICOM), and the International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Artworks (IIC). I work in accordance with the E.C.C.O. professional guidelines for cultural heritage.
